Strange A with an accent or something over it after every period?

I upgraded to WP 2.21 today and as soon as I did I looked at my posts and they’re messed up a little bit. Each place where there is a period, question mark or exclamation point there’s a funky A after it–except at the end of a paragraph.
Is this something I can fix without having to edit every single post I’ve written?

Why would anyone upgrade to 2.2 when wordpress 2.3 alpha is available? … weird … but of course this is a wordpress.org issue. -
just because 2.2 is the latest *stable* release.
some would rather prefer wait till alphas’ ussues got digested by the million army of wp.com testers than join to it…
…and, yep, this is a completetely .org people’s weirdo.

2.2 is what fantastico offered. Not a coder here, I can’t do any of that stuff! If I could I surely wouldn’t be here asking the question I am.
I’ll check with support tomorrow, and update as to what happened. I’m hoping that I don’t have to go and manually edit each and every single post.
