strange box at bottom (not *my* bottom)
-
Hi there,
I am quite new to WordPress and have little experience with it. I am using the Day Dream theme with customized header picture. Everything seems fine, I even managed to import all of the posts from the “blogger” blog where we posted before, it´s just that at the bottom of the page the box that says “Type here and press enter to search” somehow doesn´t fit in with the rest of the page and it looks kinda strange. Is there any way I can change this???
You can have a look at it here: http://aikiplattenhardt.wordpress.com/
Thanks buches for taking the time to read and maybe even reply!
Cheers,

I’m afraid that’s a “search” button widget (if your reader wants to look for anything within your blog that’s where they enter the word). To remove, go to your dashboard – presentation – sidebar widget and remove the “search”, hit save.

Thanks for the reply! I doublechecked, but the “search” button widget was removed by me a long time ago (like last Thursday or so), but still this gets displayed… ???

It is a box to search your blog. Let it be. It’ll be useful. I think it is part of the theme.

I would like to just move my search bar up. Does anyone know where abouts the code is in this template, so I can tinker?
Thanks!

Having just looked at your blog I am a little confused. The “search” is right at the top of the sidebar. How much higher would you want it?
THere’s not an easy way to change the location (outside the sidebar widgets) as we cannot edit the HTML for the theme.
