Strange characters in RSS from WordPress website

  Occasionally strange characters – like chinese/japanese characters appear in postings on this website. http://birdsontheblog.co.uk/category/main-posts/
  When I go into the backend, they often disappear, otherwise I delete them.
  I use Missinglettr for scheduling social media and these characters are appearing in the postings created (they say)from the RSS feed and is nothing to do with them.
  I’ve also contacted the website Host and they say there’s nothing Server-side.
  I’d be glad of some help please. Has anyone else experienced similar?

  Thanks for providing your site URL. It looks like your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with SiteGround.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
