Strange delay in Pings/Post-edit dates wrong or not showing

  I received a notification today of a ping from one of my posts to another one. The post in which the ping appears was posted March 1, yet the ping notification came through this afternoon (3/6).

  Then, when I logged on and got into my dashboard just a few minutes ago, my page showed me as having edited posts that I haven’t touched in a couple of days, and the post that I put up this morning doesn’t even show up in the list, nor the last few comments people have left. I have a lot of stuff on my blog I’d like to keep–I’m concerned this is a sign my blog is about to crash! Help!

  It’s something WordPress.com is doing. I wouldn’t worry too much about it crashing: that pings are coming through now after a huge delay is a sign that things are working BETTER than they were before. But something is definitely happening on the back end of things.

  That’s really weird about that. What’s the whole fuss about previously, something that I’m not familiar with? I’m pretty new to WP.com for the past 3 months.
