Strange email – email verification

    I have just got a strange email to veryfy my email address. Is it fake?

    Hi there,

    It’s not possible to help you without more details regarding the email. From what address was it sent? And can you paste the text of the email (please remove any personal info when you do) in a reply to this thread?

    The only email verification messages we send are to verify your account when you first create it, and the ICANN verification email when you register a new domain. Your account is four years old and you don’t currently own a domain, so I don’t see a reason why we would have sent you an email asking to verify your email address, but if I can see the email I can tell you for sure.
