Strange komments for Approving

  Hi.

  In one server i have an old test site, where i tested and learned wordpress. Never published anything (at least in public). Lately i started to get mails asking to approve comments in that site. The content is always the same:

  “If you want to use the photo it would also be good to check with the artist beforehand in case it is subject to copyright. Best wishes. Aaren Reggis Sela”

  If i search in google this string: “If you want to use the photo it would also be good to check with the artist beforehand in case it is subject to copyright”, i see many sites having exactly same comment.

  Funny thing is that my page has no photos/images/graphics from where that comment came from.

  How is that possible that some spammer can post into my not published wordpress site?

  Hi there,

  You’re now posting in the support forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com, and I don’t see any sites in the account you’re using to post here. We can only help with sites that are hosted on our servers.

  It sounds like the site you’re speaking of is on another server, which means you’re using the open source version of WordPress for that site. The open source software is not the same thing as WordPress.com, and is made by the community on WordPress.org. So if you’re using that version, you’ll want to contact that community instead to ask about this: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
