Strange link category

  A new link category appeared (on its own), called 1356. Two of my links, in a blogroll I´m making, keep turning up in 1356, no matter how many times I delete the whole category. ?????

  I went to check out the situation, but your blog linked to your username is a typepad blog, not wordpress?

  Yes, I´m moving to WP, but haven´t “opened” yet.

  Have you recently deleted a category? If you did then the numbers you see are referring to it. This has previously happened to me and the only way to get the “1356” removed then was to contact staff, as we bloggers do not have access to our category slugs. http://support.wordpress.com/

  Marianne at support led me right. “1356” had become the default category. As soon as I changed that (under settings/writing), I could delete it.
