strange message relating to gallery
-
Can you help please .. When I opened one of my pages, A Potted History of Association Football in England, the following strange message appeared on the screen ..
“If you want to edit the gallery you just added in the mobile app, to avoid losing any data please make sure you use version 18.2 of the app or above.” In fact this message appears twice on the screen in the lower left area.”
The message is strange, not least because I only use WordPress on a desktop. I do not have the mobile app.
Thanks
Brian

Further .. I closed the page and opened several others without the issue reappearing. I opened the football page again and the message came up again.
I was making several minor changes to the football page, which I duly completed. Having saved the changes, I came out of the page, went into several other pages without problem, and ultimately went back into the football page where, lo and behold, the message no longer appeared.

PS one for the suggestion box – it would be very useful to display the date / time of the last update to a page or post. The date / time when it was originally created is of limited value.

Hm, that seems very odd.
First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

The version of WordPress and Gutenberg we use on WordPress.com is slightly tweaked, so it’s not possible to compare those two issues.
If this happens again on your WordPress.com site, please let us know.
