Strange random text displaying on main page
-
My blog has some strange text randomly occurring across part of the latest post about 4th of July. The text appears to be from a previous post about the Corcoran, but it is hanging weirdly over the unrelated post. I’ve taken the steps to clear the cache, but it doesn’t help. I also tried both Firefox and Google Chrome, and it appears to be exactly the same. Can you help me get rid of this?

Hi there,
Sure thing! Usually when some kind of funny layout issue comes up (including cases like this where text appears where it shouldn’t) it’s because of extra code sneaking into your blog posts. In this case, you’re right — it looks like the extra code is in this post about the Corcoran:

Often, the problem with posts like this is that extra HTML code (like div tags) are added when text is copied and pasted into the post. You can usually resolve it by opening the post to edit it, switching from the Visual editor to the Text editor, and deleting any div tags that appear in the text. We have a little more details about how to do that here: Layout Issues
If you have any trouble fixing that, or if you have any questions about it, please let me know!

Thank you so much! I did what you said, removed the div tags and now it appears to be fine. Thanks so much for your help.

You’re welcome! If you tend to paste text into your blog from other sources (other websites or Word documents), you can use the Paste as Text button to help remove that kind of extra code automatically as you’re pasting it in to your posts. Just let me know if I can do anything more to help. :)
