Strange stats/referrals

  Hi there, for about a month now I’ve been getting referrals from sites which seem to have no link to me on them at all.. mostly they’re ones selling something, like i-phones, conference facilities etc etc. Now, it’s nice to seee some extra hits on the stats but frankly I’d rather not have them.. it feels a bit like spamming – I see some one who has given me a referral, I click on the link and some one tries to sell me something.
  How is this happening?

  The bottom line is that we report weird referrers directly to Staff and do not post links as that would amount to advertising for them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
