Stratfor Theme – Adding a Portfolio Page
-
Is it possible to add a portfolio page using the Stratford Theme?
I’m a content writer.
I’d like to add something like a blog page where readers can just scroll through a series of links to posts that I’ve written.
This doesn’t seem to work for me:
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/portfolio-option-not-showing-up-1/I tried adding this to my main website URL (wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=jetpack-portfolio), but it only takes me to a page that says “Invalid post type.”
Is this because I’m a free WordPress user?
Would appreciate any help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
The portfolio feature is enabled by default on some themes, but not on Stratford. On themes where it’s not enabled by default, see the Activating a Portfolio and Setting Portfolio Projects Per Page section of the Portfolios support page for relevant information and instructions. The section which follows in the support page deals with adding and managing portfolio projects.
I tried adding this to my main website URL (wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=jetpack-portfolio), but it only takes me to a page that says “Invalid post type.”
You may have inadvertently added a space or made some other copy and paste error that produced the error message. Try the following URL:
https://lucgonzales.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=jetpack-portfolio
Or follow the instructions mentioned above.
Is this because I’m a free WordPress user?
No, the feature is available on the free plan. -
This was incredibly helpful! Thanks, musicdoc1.
The steps on the support page did the trick immediately. I didn’t even know that feature existed on WordPress.
Looks like I was entering the URL correctly. Just haven’t activated the Portfolio content type.
I hope you have a great day.
