Stratford Theme- Heading stuck under menu on mobile

    Hi all,

    I am using the Stratford Theme.

    when I am previewing my website on mobile, it shows the site title neatly wrapping around so that it doesn’t sit under my menu, but in reality on mobile, it is not wrapping and is stuck under the menu so that the title is obscured and looks a bit messy.

    Does anyone know how to help fix this?

    When I look at the site on a mobile, I can’t see anything untoward there.

    What mobile device are you using exactly?

    I’m viewing it on an iphone 8 using the latest version of safari. Just the last two letters are obscured by the menu button. I have also had other people report the same issue.

    Hello! I was able to replicate this on my own iPhone. I then noticed an issue for this had already recently been opened in Github: https://github.com/Automattic/themes/issues/3114

    I’ve added your experience to it as well, including my own screenshot, in the hopes that this can be remedied in the next update for this theme.

    In the short-term we do not have a technical solution for this. We really appreciate your patience. And we’re not able to say for sure when this might be improved upon. If we are able to find out anything further on this issue, we’ll be sure to report back. Thank you again for bringing your experience to our attention. :)

    Thanks for picking this up and adding to Github. I have the same issue with the Stratford Theme and long title on Mobile.

    Look forward to a solution where this is either dynamic – or an added option in customise to input an alternate title or alternate menu stile for mobile (the big menu is a bit overkill imo anyway, hamburger would be fine).

    In the meantime, the workaround I’ve used is non-programmatic: Hide the title (via Customise) and instead upload a logo image with the title wording.
