Strikethrough in title ? (new question)
-
Hello everyone,
This topic has already been addressed to a certain extent here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/strikethrough-in-title/
I have been able to add a strikethrough in my title but my issue is that when I want to share the post (via e-mail, facebook, twitter, etc…) the strikethrough code shows up in the title.
So for instance, if my title is “This is my Title” and I write in the post title box ”
This is my Title“, it will appear correctly on my homepage and when I open the post. But when I try to share the post, this is what goes out:—
Test User thinks that you may be interested in the following post:
This is my Title
https://thisismyblog.com/this-is-my-title/
—I am wondering if anyone knows how to keep the strikethrough in the title, but hide the code behind it. I’d like the message that goes out to read:
—
Test User thinks that you may be interested in the following post:
This is my Title
https://thisismyblog.com/example-of-a-title/
—I am using an example here because my blog is still private and I am just running tests.
Any help would be much appreciated :)
Thank you!

I just realized that once posted the code showed up as strikethrough!! I hope this is not confusing. I’ll just clarify to make sure that I am being clear:
I used the code mentioned in this post: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/strikethrough-in-title/
It works well but the code appears when I share the post instead of either showing ”
This is my Title” or ” This is my title”.I just want to hide the
code when sharing, while still maintaining the strikethrough in the title of the post.
