Stripe Payments Error
-
Hi there, I have had a payment error email come through from WordPress. I’ve checked with Stripe and they say it is a WordPress issue.
The payment error is as follows:
Nonce check failed.
Error occured after user interacted with popup. Many thanks,
Julie -
Further info:
I have made a successful payment this morning. It ran very smoothly, as did the refund.
There have been successful payments before this too.
‘Error occurred after user interacted with popup’ suggested to me initially that the card holder might have entered incorrect details during the 3D secure stage, however with the ‘Nonce check failed’ error I’m wondering If there was a time out issue. I have WP rocket installed, which keeps the checkout page from being cached.
Many thanks,
Julie -
Spoken with a fellow dev and they think it could be a caching issue with the plugin so have cleared the cache and will ask the user to resubmit their payment. Update to follow.

Hi Julie,
The account you are logged in to hasn’t created any sites on WordPress.com. What is the address of the site where you are seeing payment errors?
Thanks!

Thanks Julie –
That domain is not connected to WordPress.com. It’s currently pointed to CloudFlare and was registered through TUCOWS, INC. through Fasthosts Internet Limited.
