Structural Changes – Appetite Theme – Help please!

    Hi, having some trouble with my ‘What is CareerFear’ page:

    1. If you go to the HOME page and scroll down to featured page #1, you’ll see that the ‘What is CareerFear?’ text section is clearly messed up. I need the test on the right to be horizontally in line with the image, and not extend so far down below it. I think this might be because I have the test in a column on the actual page, but surely there’s a way to keep the formatting on the page the same (I need it that way) while fixing the way the text looks on the home page.

    2. Again, on the HOME page, on featured section #1 again, there is a thin horizontal black line under the heading ‘What is CareerFear?’. On the ACTUAL page ‘What is CareerFear’, I similarly need this sort of black line aesthetic under each heading I have on that page. How can I copy this look? Using the horizontal line produces a line 1. much longer than I want, 2. not black, 3. doesn’t let me control how thick or where the line goes.

    3. I’m really struggling with the images on this page. As you can see the images now are almost all cityscape pictures. I like the placing of the images, and the sizes they are. However, whenever I try to replace those stock images with the ones I really want, the sizes are a little different and that throws everything in this structure out of place. Note I do not know the actual sizes or aspect ratios of the images when they’re on the page. When I try to alter the width using the ‘width=x’ command in the <p style=’…’> tag it makes no difference to the image. It just seems not to work. All I need is to replace the images I have now with some other images, without changing any of their sizes. I can get images with a similar or identical size and aspect ratio if I can somehow find out what they are on that page (What is CareerFear). Also, what’s the best way to resize images/ fix this problem with other images I have? (I have a lot of different aspect ratios/sizes so I can match them once I find out what they are).

    These are relevant only to my ‘What is CareerFear’ page.

    Thank you so much!

    Hi there, on #1, it seems that you have gotten that taken care of by using the following custom CSS.

    .home .featured-page-one .entry-content div {
        width: 100% !important;
    }

    What was causing the original issue is that you have a 50% width set in some inline CSS within the page:
    <div style="width: 50%; float: left;">
    If you take out the width: 50%; you will not need that bit of custom CSS.

    On #2, on the What is Careerfear page, the title is overlaid on the featured image. Do you want the line under that title overlaid on the image?

    For #3, if you wish the images to be the same size as they are now, prepare the new images in the same width to height ratio. This may take some cropping and resizing in your image editing program. The images you have now vary slightly in ratio, but are around 1.6 to 1. So, if your original image is 1200px wide, the correct height would be 750px. That should ensure they all appear as a consistent size on your site.
