    Hi

i wonder if anyone could please possibly help me, with a small question about my newly installed blog theme. Recently i created a new blog and installed the ”Structure by Organic Theme”. Which on the layout preview includes a large picture area, that your blog visitors will see. However after installing this theme and making a number of posts, and trying to work through the theme advanced settings. Im still unable to replace the Large grey square area, that is visible on my blog with a picture. Does anyone know how i will be able to have a picture shown there. like seen in the blog preview?. Thank you in advance to anyone taking the time to read and help me with my question..i will be grateful for any help someone can give me.

^Thank you very much for your help, & for responding back so quickly to my question..ive been trying to follow the following steps, that was written on that page.

”To set a featured image, you click the “Add an Image” button or the “Set featured image” tab of the Featured Image module (on the post editor screen), select from computer, upload, click “Use as featured image”, wait till it saves, close box. (If you see no Featured Image module, click Screen Options to activate it.)

Important: the images must be 620×380 pixels or they get distorted.”

^but there is no ”set featured image” tab, on my post edit screen. or when in a new post window. & nor is the feature available. when i click on my screen options tab on an edit page window..im still unsure as to how i would get an image to display, as the feature is missing.

    You’re welcome.

Obviously you know how to upload and insert images in a post. When you upload an image to your post, once “crunching” is over you get a pop-up box with various options (alignment, size etc.) That pop-up box includes a “Use as featured image” tab next to the “Insert into post” tab.

And the other thing you must take care of is select an appropriate category in Appearance > Theme Options > “Featured Category”. If you want each and every recent post showcased in the “Homepage Top” area, you must assign a certain category to all posts and select that category as your Featured one.

Hi, I have already set my image as the featured image and was able to see it on the homepage. But after tweaking around my blog i realised the image is missing. But it is still set as my featured image, evern after re-loading the image again it still doesn’t show up again….. need some advice here… Thanks.

The featured post title is missing too, which means the theme can’t find the featured category. My guess is you edited the category and changed its name after having selected it as your featured category. Go to Appearance > Theme Options, select the proper category again from the Featured Category dropdown, click Save Options.
