Structure Homepage Spacing
-
I’ve done some CSS edits on the homepage. One aspect is that I’ve made the featured image smaller, and in doing so there is more white space between the image box, the bottom border, and then the beginning of the featured post 3 column area. I would like to reduce this space, specifically the space between the image box and the dividing border, preferably by pulling the border up closer to the smaller featured image box. Any solutions on this. I have full CSS editing capabilities, so I’m looking for specific CSS edits. Thanks!

We need a link to the site you are talking about.
The site linked to your username is using structure, but there is no evidence of the Custom Design Upgrade on that site, and none of the changes you are talking about.

My bad – it’s a self hosted site at this point and so I’m no longer using wordpress.com. Don’t know the full rules of the road but thought I would tap into the knowledge base here. Not sure if seeing the site is necessary, as the edit would apply to the general CSS of the structure theme — Just looking for the baseline command “solution”. I’ve tried {margin-bottom} for the homepage portion but that seems to only lift the text headers above the dividing line and not move the line itself. Thanks either way.

The thing is, if I change the height of the featured image box on a site here, the line below it flows up with the bottom of the box. There is 30px of bottom padding on #homepagetop, but that hardly looks excessive (just what it was originally).
And again, the 3-colum section below the black line flows up when you change the height of the featured image box.
That is sort of a long way of saying, I don’t see the issues you are describing when I change the height in #homepagetop .featuredimage so I can’t really tell you what to change.
My suggestion is to take this up with the fine people over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ .
