Structure theme – 3 columns layout ?

  How can I make 3 columns layout in this theme?

  It is shown here, as one of the possible versions of lauyot
  http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/04/27/new-theme-structure/
  but i cant see any tutorial how to do it :(

  there is no need for what you saw at the page you mentioned. In standard, the home page is a 3 columns page. The other pages are using a 2 columns layout.

  To set the record straight:

  Upper part of homepage: 2 columns.
  Lower part of homepage: 3 columns.
  Category and other archive pages: 3 columns.
  Signle post: 2 columns.
  Static page: 2 columns.
