Structure Theme Wont Change To Dark Colour Scheme

  Everythings really in the title. I check the box to ‘use alternative dark colour scheme’ yet my blog hasn’t changed. It would yesterday though, but I changed it back to white.

  Any suggestions?

  Have you done any CSS editing on this blog wearing the Structure theme or not? I just loaded Structyre on my test blog and had zero difficulty in changing to the dark color scheme. > Appearance > Themes > Theme Options
  __ Color scheme Use the alternate dark color scheme. You may want to change your header text color in Appearance->Header
  Click “Save Options”

  Did you remeber to click “Save Options” after you changed the color scheme? Have you tried this again today?

  One thing that can interfere with this is if you have made CSS changes and you have pasted the entire CSS stylesheet into your CSS edit window. At wordpress.COM, the best way to do CSS customization is to put only the specific selectors, and the specific declarations that you are adding or changing into the CSS edit window and make sure “add to existing” is selected before you save. That way your changes are added to and override the like selectors in the original stylesheet.

  Thanks for the reply timethief. I have to say that I have done exactly what thesacredpath posted. I guess it is too late to change that?

  You would have to back up and remove all the CSS changes, and then go back in and put in only the specific changes that you have made, and that is a lot more difficult to figure out because everything is in there, not just the changes. That is another reason to put only the changes into your custom CSS. It is much easier to see what you have changed and what you have not.
