Structuring my site

    Hi all
    I am new to setting up my blogging website, and am grappling with the following: how do I structure my blog so that I have a home page with featured posts (either as a rolling display or pinned to the home page), parent/child pages displaying the relevant blog entries (and how do I assign the correct blogs to the correct parent/child pages), and then also the blog entry in full? I can create pages but don’t know where or how I am meant to place the blog posts so that they appear on a child page, and if required a parent page as a featured/pinned post, and on the Homepage as a featured post. I think this is a hierarchy/site structuring question – I can see it on the demo site for the ‘Sight’ theme but don’t know how to create it. I want to display both graphics and text (extracts).
