Struggling to edit a theme

    I am trying to use the “Common” theme, but when I add it to my website, it removes all the content that’s on the demo site of the theme, and it just leaves me with a blank image with text: “Hello world” and it doesn’t even allow me to edit it. I’ve used WordPress in the past, and whenever I applied a theme, everything was transferred over. Is it possible to to edit the demo site of the theme and add my own content?
