Struggling to get answers

I have been charged £15+ for an account.I was given the Blue Host facility when this happened. I just wanted to continue with my free site by re activating it. I can view my site still ,but I am unable to log in to it . Blue host have advised me that I do have my site with wordpress and not them . My bank contacted me when an attempt was made to take £115+ form my account twice, one attempt did manage to take the money,so I did ask for a refund with Blue Host.Wordpress have contacted me stating that some plug ins have been updated. I did send a message with attachments yesterday but have not received a reply as yet. I just wanted to use my existing free wordpress site which is :https://longdistanceracing.wordpress.com/. Could you please help me with this situation. Blue Host have stated that the site is available to buy?.

  • Hi there, the WordPress.com account that you’re posting from (username: beeserlight) doesn’t have any active purchases associated with it here on WordPress.com.

We (that is: WordPress.com) are indeed a separate company to Bluehost; which means that if you were charged by Bluehost for anything, then they would be providing you with a service, and they are unconnected to us.

You definitely have a free site here on WordPress.com with this address: http://longdistanceracingpigeons.wordpress.com

I understand you recently contacted us about this; I can note that I see the following domain exists, and is registered with Bluehost:
    http://longdistancepigeonracing.com

The address http://longdistancepigeonracing.com over at Bluehost displays to regular visitors like myself that it is a site which uses the free WordPress software that comes from WordPress.org (which is a separate entity from us here at WordPress.com).

If your intent is to set up your site content using the address http://longdistancepigeonracing.com with the Bluehost service that you mentioned being charged for, then I would definitely recommend logging in on your Bluehost account in order to work on the site.

If you want to instead work on the free site http://longdistanceracingpigeons.wordpress.com which is here on your WordPress.com account, then you’re in the right place! We have guides such as this one to help you set up your site here:
