  when i hover over the pencil stub icon, no words appear. what’s it for?

  for the second time (why is this repetition required?) my question is as already stated one inch north of here: “when i hover over the pencil stub icon, no words appear. What’s it for?”

  Don’t bump your threads. Particularly not within three minutes. The average response time in an internet forum is 14.5 hours. Until you explain what the fuck pencil stub you’re yammering about, nobody can or will help you.

  On some themes, the pencil icon is there so that you can click on it to edit that post. Other themes simply say “edit” and when you click on it you can edit the post.

  These icons and words only appear to you while you are logged in. That means readers who do not have editing privileges will not see that option.

  What happens when you click on the pencil?

  No need for swearing, Raincoaster -I didn’t put this icon at the top of every page I edit. I’m searching for missing icons and sidebars and all I’ve got in return is a image of a pencil with no explanation. Thanks 1tess for your comment. When I click on it I get a new blank Post. Useful, but not what I was looking for.
