stuck at the register a new blog page

  hi – i’ve been trying to start a new blog but the sign up page keeps ‘checking’ the blog address i want to use but never gets anywhere… the wee W just keeps rotating and i cant get any further. tried it a couple of times earlier today and just tried again now but same problem.
  any ideas?
