Stuck between sites.

    Trying to access my site swedgflowers (it appears I’m logged in) but keep getting referred to my other site swedg36 when I try to add a post.

    If you’re speaking of https://swedgflowers.wordpress.com/, that site belongs to a completely different account, not to the swedg36 account you’re using to post here.

    Thanks. I’m trying to get around the swedg36 account, I had to replace my hard drive and most of my passwords are (at least) temporarily lost. I don’t recall the user name (or password) for swedgflowers.
    When I open swedgflowers, it appears as if I’m already logged in, but if I go to My Site or try to write a new post, I’m on swedg36. Both accounts are linked (I think) to the same email, and when I “change password,” it logs me in to swedg36.

    Can you help me recover both user name and password for swedgflowers.wordpress.com?

    It’s not possible to have two accounts with the same email so, we can assure you that you used a different address for the account you’re trying to access. We can not disclose it, but if you have any other email account, try to use that one with the password reset link:

    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    Okay. I got a password reset window on the other email address (and it showed my profile picture from swedgflowers which seemed promising), BUT when I logged on with the (latest) new password, the other site (swedg36) came up.

    So I believe it’s not a user-name/password issue after all, but somehow WordPress has mixed up my accounts. As I reported at first, I can still log on to swedgflowers, but if I try to “write” or edit or go to “My Site,” I get switched to swedg36.

    I recall I had a similar problem a while ago (I’ve been posting on swedgflowers since 2012, basically abandoned swedg36 after 2009), but I don’t remember how I fixed it.

    It looks like something pn your side. I hope you can fix it.

    Can you clarify what’s happening here?

    BUT when I logged on with the (latest) new password, the other site (swedg36) came up.

    Can you go to https://wordpress.com/me/account and check to see what username shows there?

    Then, click log out. And then reset your password for the other account, while logged out.

    Can you check to see what appears on https://wordpress.com/me/account then?

    I logged out of swedgflowers (holding my breath), got a new password from the right email address and logged back in. And it seems to have worked! I can navigate to My Site and I’m still; there. And everything seems to check out on /me/account as well. Can’t wait to post some more flowers!
