Stuck in "Coming Soon" Mode / Can't Launch Site!

    I’ve used wp for many years so I’m not a newbie. I’m trying to create a new site and I keep getting run in a loop where every time I try to “Launch Site” so that I can remove the “coming soon” BS, it starts me back over at the choose domain step as if I’m starting a site from scratch. By this point I’ve already started my site and chose the sub domain and made my first posts, now I’m simply just trying to publish it! WordPress, you had a good thing going! Why did you have to do and ruin a good thing?

    I’m also stuck in “coming soon” / preview screen and have lost the editing icons (+ undo etc . . .). Working OK earlier today. Did this just happen?

    Hi, when you get to that “select domain” page, enter your chosen site name or a few letters on that line at the top. Once you do that you should see your free site address at the bottom of the page with a link to Skip Purchase

    Thanks for your help, but unfortunately now I’m stuck on “Your site will be live shortly” now for more than 2 hours. Is it normal for this page to hang for this long? I also checked and the site still says “coming soon” but now when I click “launch site” it goes back to the “Your site will be live shortly”… I’m simply trying to start a blog, this shouldn’t be made so complicated. I don’t remember wordpress being this much of a pain to use (just in the last 2 years).

    OK so I just tried again what you said but I switched to Firefox and now the same result that was putting me in a loop actually worked! This to me seems like you all aren’t optimizing your site anymore for compatibility across more browsers? I’m only speculating as I’m not an expert.
