Stuck on "Loading my sites" in Chrome, Mac
-
I’ve searched the forums, but haven’t found an answer that works for me, so here goes:
When I log into wordpress on my Mac w/ Chrome, the thing never fully loads, and is stuck on “Loading my sites.” I have a PC with IE, and wordpress works fine there. I’ve seen that many of the solutions to this problem that have been posted are “change your browser,” but I want to use my Mac, and I want to use Chrome. How to fix this problem?
thanks!

Hmm. I’m logging on with Chrome on my Mac using an incognito window. I seem to be getting around alright, but I’m wondering if I’m missing the page that’s stuck for you.
Can you send a link to the page where it gets stuck? A screenshot would help too — if you can upload that to your media library.
Also, if you skip directly to a page like this one, does it also get stuck?

So I uploaded a few screenshots to my media library
1. how the website (not my control panel) looks on chrome
2. how the control panel looks (ie stuck on loading)
3. how the control panel looks when I went to /posts (also stuck) -
Hi there,
As supernovia may not return to this thread today you can download and use Firefox http://browsehappy.com in the interim if you want to. -
Thanks, I’ll use firefox in the meantime. Really appreciate the quick replies from you folks for a wordpress noob like me.

Sorry, one more test: can you go to View > Developer > JavaScript Console and have that open when you navigate to the page? I’m hoping we’ll see an error there. Go ahead and get a screenshot.
Also, if that window is incognito, can you try turning off Chromecast first to see whether that makes any difference? (You can do that after checking for JS errors)

I think we’re getting somewhere! Just uploaded two screen shots of the console, one with chromecast on, one off. Both show error messages.

I fixed it! There was an error code that said: err_tunnel_connection_failed so I googled that, and the response was to turn off LAN proxies, which I did, and now everything works great.
Thanks for all your help. Would have never found it if you didn’t refer me to the javascript console.
