  Hi, I am a tutor at VTOS Tuam, Co, Galway, Ireland.A training centre that is part of GRETB. Do you provide student accounts/websites or how do other colleges work who are teaching web authoring

  Hi there,

  We do not offer a specific “student rate” for upgrades here at WordPress.com. However we do offer free sites that anyone can sign up for, and you can start a new one anytime here: https://wordpress.com/start/

  I’m not certain how other institutions in your area handle this situation so you may need to ask your peers for more insight into what they’ve settled on. I will say though that because we offer managed hosting (where we take care of the technical bits) we may not be the best fit for students that are learning to code and create websites from scratch. We’re a great platform for folks who are non-technical and looking for a website provider that “just works” but we’re not well suited as a development platform.
