  Hi there, No, there are no discounts, but WordPressdotcom does send out promotions from time to time. If you are not subscribed to promotions, you can do that in your notifications dashboard. https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/updates

  Regardless, you can build a website on WordPressdotcom for free and continue using it for free for as long as you like.

  If you want to build a site with more features (like adding a domain), you can choose any of our upgrade plans https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and you’ll pay the full price for a year (or two years, if that is presented as an option) at checkout.

  All our plans come with a 30-day refund window; the only exception is if you purchase and register a new custom domain as a part of your plan and then that needs to be cancelled within 48 hours of purchase to be eligible for a refund.
