Students Cannot Sign Up For WordPress Accounts
-
I have 127 students who all needed WordPress Accounts to create blogs in my English course. Midway through the day, my students started receiving error messages when they tried to sign up. I read somewhere that if WordPress.com receives too many messages from the same IP address (the school’s), it will perceive that it is spam and shut down further registration attempts.
Now my students who tried to create blogs cannot log in to their accounts. They just see a white screen with the blue WordPress title bar.
Is there a way that I can get all of my students signed up for WordPress.com accounts? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If you provide us with the school’s IP address that you’re trying to use for signup, we can submit a request to give that particular IP white listed so that the students can register their accounts.
Let me know, thanks!

Hi there,
I have contacted our developers with the IP address and will contact you once we have whitelisted the IP. Thanks!

Thank you so much for all of your help. My students have an extended Labor Day weekend, so we will hopefully be setting up our accounts on Wednesday. You are fantastic!! Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Darnell,
I just had one of my seniors try to sign up for WordPress, and she is still getting the blank, white screen with the blue WordPress bar across the top. She did not sign up for an account, previously, because the site was blocking our IP address, so she cannot recover any information. Do you have any suggestions on what she should do? Does she need to delete cookies or anything of that sort?
Thanks so much!

Hi there,
I would definitely have her clear her cache and cookies if she is having Browser Issues. Let me know if that works for her. Thanks!
