students not receiving confirmation email

    I have 4 students in a class of 21 who are using their email address to follow the blog (mdxenglish.com) but they are not receiving a confirmation email in their email account.
    Please can you help? These 4 students are not doing anything different from the other students and their email accounts are working fine.

    Hi Monna –

    Sure thing. I will be glad to help. Are you able to share their email addresses with us here? The forums software will automatically redact them so that only staff can view them. We need that bit of information so that we can tell if the confirmation emails are being sent on our end, and if any errors are happening.

    They should also try the following:

    1. Add WordPress.com to their email contact list
    2. Check in Spam, Other or Promotional folders for the email
    3. Try an email-wide search term “confirmation”
    4. Sign out and back in to the email accounts

    Thank you for your help. I have tried points 2 -4 with the students and asked them to add WordPress.com to their contacts list. I did not want to give the student emails in the open forum but they are as follows:

    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Thank you very much for the email addresses. I had a look at our logs and I can confirm that two of the students (email 2 and 3) have been sent the email to confirm their subscription, however, they blocked WordPress.com from sending them any email notifications so it was never delivered. These can be changed as described here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/following/#change-your-email-settings

    It’s worth noting that confirmation emails are only sent once, so if they previously attempted to subscribe but never confirmed, they won’t receive a new email if they try to subscribe again.

    In those cases, they will be able to confirm pending subscriptions here:

    As for the other two students, I don’t see any pending invites for those addresses so you may ask them try and subscribe again.
