Stumble Upon
-
Just found Stumble Upon site as a referrer to my blog – I clicked on it to see what it’s all about, and was given the
option of publicizing my blog – at a cost of 0.05 cents per visitor.is this something worth doing?
I searched the support site, found some things about it that are a couple of years old, so I decided to inquire again.
Is there a way to find out who linked my site to Stumble upon?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Me again…. just noticed that there is an option to include the Stumble Upon widget – that is free of charge.
I am interested in having feedback from users – the good, the bad…
thanks

This is a huge topic and I must get dinner on. I advise you to read this first so you gave a clear understanding of why people get banned from stumbleupon http://sem-group.net/search-engine-optimization-blog/when-the-ban-hammer-comes-down-on-stumbleupon/
Yes, you can join stumbleupon free of charge and download a toolbar and begin to discover new sites of interest to you.
Yes, you can also buy traffic. However, that traffic will not necessarily be targeted traffic who will return to your blog.
The result of either buying traffic at stumbleupon by contracting for a paid campaign or by simply being a member who has a post other members give a thumbs up to will be a high bounce rate.
If you don’t know what that means please read http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2009/11/24/ten-strategies-for-reducing-bounce-rat/

Thanks, timethief once more
It was easy to conclude that I am not interested… :-)
I rather keep my “traffic” as a result of genuine interest, and let time tell where my blog goes

First of all i would like to thank you guys &gals for using my site as a resource. I have been on StumbleUpon for quite some time now and the free version of StumbleUpon works just fine. There is no need to pay for clicks. In addition to being a great traffic source it’s also great fun and a place where you can discover all kind of awesome content and meet cool people.
Here is another blog post that is more or less an introduction to StumbleUpon.

Also if anyone would like to connect with me on StumbleUpon here is my SU page.

D’oh, IGNORE ME. I’m obviously overcaffeinated and didn’t see this was the guy TT was talking about. I thought it was just some interloper.
