Stumble upon question…

  • Unknown's avatar

I am not too familiar with the Stumble upon thing, in fact I even posted a question about it in the past. However, today I am getting quite a bit of hits coming from Stumble Upon, so I suspect somehow someone somewhere for some reason…. stumbled me! :-)

my question – is there a way to find out which post was stumbled? THe hits seem to be all going to the homepage

if someone writes a review about one of my posts, shouldn’t I be able to retrieve it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you have the stumbleupon toolbar then load the page URL in your browser and click on the “info” button on your StumbleUpon toolbar. This will show you the “Review Page” for that particular URL, which displays reviews people wrote, number of Stumbles and people in the community who liked the page and gave it a thumbs up.

    I guess I don’t know what I’m doing…

if I add the page URL, it just comes with a “You’ve been stumbled” – and the login prompt.

If I login, or if I search for my own blog in StumbleUpon, nothing comes up

I did more research on this question and found that others experience the same thing as you are experiencing and have made this known through questions and complaints posted to getsatisfaction. If we had wordpress.ORG blogs and also had Google Analytics we could easily find the answer but we don’t. Do you use a third party visitor tracking system? I use Sitemeter and I can tell which posts are getting the stumbleupon action.

    Thanks, timethief!

Yes, I do use Sitemeter, and they all point to the homepage, without any particular post getting linked to

The same info I get through StatCounter

OH, well – I just hope it’s not a review that says: “Go here: her blog is THE worst I’ve ever sbumled upon!” ;-)

    @Sally
When I have time I will look for the referral at the other end. We were without power for 1 1/2 days and it’s coming and going now. I have lots of fallen branches to clean up and firewood and kindling to split so I probably won’t get a chance to do this until this evening or tomorrow.

Don’t worry about it at all…

    I was just curious –

good luck with your clean up – when we had a horrible ice storm two years ago, the devastation was incredible here….

    once again, thank you!
