stupidest crappiest thing WORDPRESS could have possibly done

    I have watched as WordPress has slowly ruined this blog experience for me since I started in 2009. The latest is the absolute worst! Whenever I try to do anything on WordPress (notably edit an old post) it keeps sending me back to the stats page. Doesn’t matter that I don’t want to go to the stats page (usually I want to go back to the page I was on) it sends me there anyways. It does this OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER WITHOUT FAIL. It even did this while I was writing this topic. So thanks WordPress for making this an absolute miserable experience.

    You seem to be describing either a browser related issue or a connectivity issue.

    Make sure you are running an up to date browser version found at https://browsehappy.com Try clearing your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and see the tips here https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    If you are not successful please provide this specific info:
    (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
    (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/

    Hi @chblack,

    Sorry to hear you’ve been having problems. A good place to start troubleshooting, is your browser.

    Timethief has already mentioned a couple of these suggestions but I’m going to add them to a list in my reply so you can look through both of our suggestions.

    1. Check your browser is up to date

    2. Use a different browser and see if you still have the same problem

    3. Clear your browser cache and cookies and then refresh the page. There are some instructions here:

    4. Disable browser extensions and ad blockers. Does the page load correctly?

    5. Check that Javascript is enabled. This guide explains how to check:
