Style.css stuck on saving

I am not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but I have tried scouring the internet for an answer. When I try to use the actual text editor on word press, it just sits there saying that it is “saving”. I have left it for hours and no change. Editing PHP files is perfectly fine, they update instantly. Now if I shorten the style.css file, it updates perfectly fine.
Any help is appreciated!
