style="vertical-align:top;" doesn't work with Chrome?
-
The images and the text all appear aligned at the top of their table cells correctly in Firefox, but randomly at the top or middle when viewed on Chrome.
How come?

I see them perfectly aligned in Firefox as well. Can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below?

Sorry, I should have said that I’d cleared my cache and cookies before reporting the problem – it made no difference. I have repeated this exercise, and again it has made no difference.
You say “I see them perfectly aligned in Firefox as well”, but what did you see using Chrome?

Both look similar to me.
If possible, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:

OK – I have put publications_screenshot_Chrome.jpg in my Media Library. You will see that the first image is at the top of the cell, and the next three are lower down in relation to the text in the cell to the right.
This happens in Chrome on two separate laptops. On both laptops, all the images are aligned at the top when viewed in Firefox and Internet Explorer.
On a tablet using either Chrome or Safari, it looks like the screenshot.
Many thanks for your help

Just seen that it looks fine now using Chrome, ie just the same as with Firefox.
I did not update the page, but I see that you edited it, Karim:
“Last edited by Karim on March 2, 2014 at 5:15 pm”What did you change to make it all better?
Many thanks!

I had removed a space that was between the image and the text, but I thought it didn’t work, seems it did :)

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

wow – eagle eyes. Not sure how the space got there, presume when I changed all the valign=”top” to vertical-align:top.
I never know when WP automatically corrects code it does not like. I guess in this case the space wasn’t an issue.
Thanks again!
