Styling the width of paragraph blocks

    Hi,

I’m creating a new site with WordPress and was introduced to the “block” way of doing things, which I find nice. However I miss some easy settings to have more control.

I want to be able to specify the width of a paragraph and figured that would be easy, but after a few plugins and some failed attempts as a CSS developer I am having trouble. I did get some great results with the “Stylist WP” plugin (Extra Gutenberg Blocks Options) on desktop, but the page looked horrible on other devices.

How can I easy set the width of a paragraph to f.ex. 80% of the total width of the page? Is there a way of styling only for desktop?

I’m a noob, thanks in advance!

  • Hi there,

On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com and was only created a few hours ago.

If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead.

Yeah thanks, a bit confused on the .com & .org setup. Sorry, feel free to delete this.
