sub domain mapping with premium account

  Hi, I’m posting this on my husbands behalf. He has his blog mapped to blog.michaeltoye.com at the moment (premium account). If he were to change it to just michaeltoye.com and point that to a static page could he still have his blog at blog.michaeltoye.com or would it automatically be michaeltoye.com/blog ? or would he have to pay for an extra account upgrade to keep it as the subdomian blog.michaeltoye.com?
