Sub Domain name?
-
Hello,
I have currently started up a website with Cargo Collective. I have upgraded my package to include my own domain name. I am currently associated with Lunar Pages for hosting and have my wordpress.com under the domain of “lisafrieling.com”
I’m terribly confused and now need to make my wordpress blog url of “lisafrieling.com” to point to my new Cargo Collective website and keep my existing wordpress.com as something simillar to “blog.lisafrieling.com” ??
I am unsure of where to start?
Here is what I have been given from my host provider:
“Instead a recommendation may be to set up a sub domain of blog.lisafrieling.com to direct towards WordPress. We would still require the appropriate CNAME or A record from WordPress in order to implement this. Please contact WordPress for this information so we may proceed.”
Thank you for taking the time to read any help would be most appreciated.

Actually, it would seem like you have it all set correctly now.
http://lisafrieling.com/ is the main site, and http://blog.lisafrieling.com/ is the WordPress.com blog.
Are you still having trouble with anything?

Thank you for your reply.
I almost have it worked out :)
However, when I do go to type my name (lisa frieling) into google search engine the first link is to my blog under the title “So I had to shoot him” which is then redirected my new website (under construction)
is it possible to have these separate? So when you type my name into google, my website comes up with just “Lisa frieling Photography” (lisafrieling.com) and my blog under the title “So I had to shoot him” (blog.lisafrieling.com)?
Thank you for taking the time to read any help would be most appreciated.

We don’t really have control over Google’s index. Eventually, they’ll notice the new domain and update their index.

Oh I see! Okay, i thought perhaps it may work like that.
That’s great news, i thought perhaps my blog was lost!
thank you for your help!
