Sub-menu "outside" the screen

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

    I have added a sub-menu to the first menu on the left in the row but the text of that sub-menu falls outside the screen and is not visible, although the sub-menu does appear.
    Is there a method to avoid this (like specify on which side sub-menus should appear, left/center/right ?)

    Thank you

    Hoping this can help,

  • Thanks @rivandemo, I suspect it’s because you have such large menu and this theme expects something smaller. I’ll file a report.

    OK. I think themes should either adapt the sub-menu’s side automatically or let the user choose himself. The first solution seems the most appropriate for me (avoids re-configuring menu in case of change)
    I close the subject.

    Thanks again,
    Richard

  • @rivandemo Themes will normally just work with whatever menu you add. I’ve filed a bug report to fix this problem.

    For now, since your menu is pretty long, you might consider making a simpler menu for the top, and putting this menu in a custom menu widget. That would get a vertical layout which is better for long lists.

    @supernovia
    I have suppressed the sub-menu and will re-arrange the main menu to make it shorter.

    Thank you,
    Richard

  • @rivandemo thank you. We’ll update you here when the issue is fixed, too.
