Sub pages on Top Navigation Bar not showing!
-
Hi
I have just added a new page (4 step process http://leadinganddevelopinghighperformance.com/ali-stewarts-thoughts/the-4-step-process/) which is a sub page of ‘Ali Stewart’s Thoughts’. For some reason the sub page shows up in the side bar pages menu but does not drop down on the top navigation menu bar. Any one got any idea what I have done wrong or is this not an option with the Fleshy Theme.
It would be a shame to change it as it fits well with the subject.
Many thanks
Andy

No wp.com theme displays child pages in the header. You’ll have to add a link to the subpage below the rest of the text in the parent page itself.

We now have a 4th theme that has the dropdown menu feature for child page (sub-pages) that Panos refers to above. It’s called Titan and was just made available to us today. The other themes that also have this feature are INove, Monochrome and Sandbox 1.6.1.

Thanks for the useful feedback Panos and timethief – looks like I ‘ll do the workaround suggested. Good to know which ones do support children for any new blogs!
Many thanks

You’re welcome and best wishes with your theme change. I’d like to share this bit of advice with you. Prior to changing themes you can drag and drop all of the widgets you are currently use into the Inactive Widgets box. After installing the new theme you will see a default widget display as each theme has one. You can then simply drag and drop all of your “stored” widgets in the Inactive Widgets box into the sidebars you want them to display in. This mean the theme change process will only cause a momentary front page display disruption.
