Subcategories apparent in my mobile mode menu ou Tablet
-
Hello,
I tried my site on my phone and I also tried the preview of the iPad or iPhone on WordPress .
The problem is that when I click on my menu , all headings and sub -headings appear directly in the menu.
Normally, when a topic contains subtopics, you must click on the heading for the subtopics unfold. One can also see on a + or other sites on which to click.
As here, when you click on a topic: makemylemonade.com ( mobile mode) I would like to have the same result .
But for me, everything appears at once and it’s a burger Topics …
Can we hide subtopics ? With CSS code?
Knowing that my items are not clickable because I put a # in front of my custom link address.
Best regards.

Victory, it is a balancing act when trying to create menus that work on desktop systems with trackpads or mice and also work for touch devices, such as tablets and phones. As an example, on your DIY parent page, if that happened to be linked to a page, then when a user on a touch device tapped it, are they wanting to go to the DIY page, or are they wanting to open the submenu? On a desktop system, when you move a mouse and hover over a menu item, it is easy to open that menu and then the user can either click on DIY or go down to one of the submenu items. On a touch device, you can’t hover.
There are a couple ways that menus so that they work on all devices. One is to list submenu items indented below the parent menu item, and the other is to have a button beside the menu text that one can click on, or tap to see the submenu. Sketch is designed with the indented submenu items and there isn’t a way to change that with CSS.

Hello,
I understand it is impossible to present as makemylemonade.com on the site?
How can I change that ? with a premium version ?
Sorry but already the English is not easy, but if we talk about computer language, it is even more complex for me.
Is there a theme approaching sketch, free, which to a menu approaching the site menu above?Best regards.

No worries on your English, you are doing fine.
If you wanted to change the way Sketch’s menus operate to have a button for the dropdown, you would need to self-host your own installation of WordPress on a different web host. Although self-hosting is more work (you have to do all upgrades and troubleshooting), WordPress is far less of a challenge to self-host than it used to be.
You would also need some php and javascript experience to be able to change the way that the menu system works, or you would need to hire someone to do that for you if you do not have that experience.
For more on moving to a self-hosted WordPress installation, see this support page.
The other option would be to switch to a theme here that has the buttons for submenus. Although there isn’t a way to search for that, here are three that I remembered have the button functionality for tablets and phones.
