If you want to use third party plugins, you must upgrade to the WordPress Pro Plan. However why would you need wpforms as you have a form block and you can embed forms from several services on the free plan, https://wordpress.com/support/forms/

  • Hi there,

As @staartmees mention, WordPress.com comes with a contact form already built in, so there’s no need to install a plugin if you just want to add a form to your site.

Sites using plugins on WordPress.com work differently from regular WordPress.com sites, and use different servers, so they’re hosted at a free example.wpcomstaging.com address, instead of an example.wordpress.com address.

There’s no way to avoid this – if you install a plugin, the free address will change.

But on the pro plan you can register your own custom domain, like 1stitchsaves9.blog or 1stitchsaves9.com, etc, free for the first year. When you do that, the free address doesn’t matter, as it won’t be visible to anyone.
