subdomain and godaddy

  creating a subdomain in godaddy
  I created a subdomain in godaddy called blog.pickurgift.com.
  In the instructions on WP there is a note saying (please note the fullstop character at the end of each domain name): What is the fullstop character? Is it the period after .com in the example WP gives?

  When I type in blog.pickurgift.com nothing comes up and when I type in pickurgift.wordpress.com the page does not load anymore. (I did make the blog.pickurgift.com primary.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It may have just needed a bit more time to resolve. Are you all set with this now?

  I just needed to be patient. It is working fine and now I am in the process of customization.

  I created the CNAME blog
  pointed it to my .wordpress.com account.
  Bought the subdomain mapping and it worked fine. It just took a little time for it to launch.
