subdomain / domain mapping

I want for the url blog.metaljoy.com to point to metaljoy.wordpress.com. I added a Cname record to the metaljoy.com domain.
I paid for the upgrade and added the metaljoy.com domain. I hope this is correct. My concern is that metaljoy.com will be redirected to metaljoy.wordpress.com when what I want is the subdomain blog.metaljoy.com to be redirected to metaljoy.wordpress.com.
This is what I intended to do when I added the metaljoy.com domain.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, it looks like the CNAME entry is not pointing to WordPress.com yet. Your CNAME record (that you add with your registrar where you have metaljoy.com) should look like this:
    blog 14400 IN CNAME metaljoy.wordpress.com.

Each registrar has its own method of adding CNAME records. The important parts of this record are your subdomain (“blog”) and your original blog domain (“metaljoy.wordpress.com”).

(If you have already done this, it may take several hours for the changes to be recognized here. Please try again in a little while.)

I added the cname about a week ago.

    The registrar is GoDaddy

The subdomain blog.metaljoy.com is forwarded to blog,metaljoy.wordpress.com. When I use GoDaddys preview link it points straight to my blog.

blog.metaljoy.com is selected as my primary domain at wordpress.

    What am I missing?

Hi, so did you add a CNAME record similar to “blog 14400 IN CNAME metaljoy.wordpress.com.” , or did you set up domain forwarding? Would you mind creating a screenshot of your CNAME record settings and uploading it somewhere (e.g. your Media Library) so that I could take a look? Thanks.
