Subdomain management

    If I register a domain (mydomain.com) on wordpress.com, can I manage the subdomains? Could example.mydomain.com send you to an other server and mydomain.com would still be the blog on wordpress? If yes, how do I do such magic?
    I’ve read the DNS Management entry on the support page, but as a more or less newbie, regarding DNS, IP and ports, I could really need some help.
