subdomain mapping does not work
-
Hello,
I purchase an domain upgrade to map to our subdomain (blog.squizzal.com) however, after following the instructions I cannot access our blog at http://blog.squizzal.com. I get an error message that says page does not exist. I added the DNS CNAME entries and set blog.squizzal.com as the primary. But it doesn’t work. I had to set my primary back to squizzal.wordpress.com. I performed the configurations under SETTINGS->DOMAINS. Am I missing a configuration step somewhere?

Everything seems to be good from my end – I’m able to go to http://blog.squizzal.com and see your WordPress.com blog. (Sometimes these things take some time to propagate properly.)
Once thing you can do is change your primary domain from squizzal.wordpress.com to blog.squizzal.com:
- Go to the Settings > Domains page from your blog’s Dashboard
- Click the selection button next to ‘blog.squizzal.com’
- Click the ‘Update Primary Domain’ button
This will update your primary domain name from squizzal.wordpress.com to blog.squizzal.com, and visitors will now see blog.squizzal.com in your address bar when they visit your blog.
