Subdomain name
-
I got a message that the subdomain name would change from biblestudyconcepts.wordpress.com to biblestudyconcepts.wpcomstaging.com, if I upgraded my plan to use one of your themes. The new name, in my opinion, would be a bit too long and hard to remember. Is there any way around that?
By the way, I have tried uploading my own photo for a header on the main page, but am having difficulty. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hi @sightingofayeti,
Yes, the domain that ends with a subdomain is a bit longer to remember and type. I would recommend you to start out by upgrading your plan to WordPress.com Personal plan.In this plan, you’ll get a Free Domain for One Year. So you can choose your domain to be
biblestudyconcepts.com

Hi there,
There is no way to avoid this change, no.
In order to use plugins or third party themes on your site, we must make some changes to how the site works on our servers, and these changes include that the free URL will change.
The Business Plan also includes a free custom domain registration as mentioned above, though, so you can add a completely custom address, not mentioning WordPress.com at all, to your site.
