Subdomain / This domain is already connected to your site

  Hello,
  
  I want setup a subdomain preview.mrge.com for this blog. (Creator license).
  
  I have full control over the DNS records for the zone mrge.com. as well an account with admin rights with access to the administration panel to this blog.
  
  When I go to upgrades -> domains I see two domains already:
  
  mrgedotcom.wordpress.com
mrge.com
  
  I trying to add another domain preview.mrge.com ( I know technically it’s a subdomain), but then I’m getting:
  
  This domain is already connected to your site, but you can still transfer it.
  With a header
  Connect your domain

  But then is no further button or anything there.
  
  How can I add the subdomain preview.mrge.com to this blog?
  
  Although I can see the domain mrge.com in the administration panel, I’m not the “owner” (my coworker bough today this blog, I just have now to configure it, and I was invited as an admin user).
  
  There is already a WordPress blog running on mrge.com currently, but this is a self hosted one and we preparing to switch to the Creator license on wordpress.com. Hence we want to prepare a preview.mrge.com domain for it.

  Any suggestion?
