Subdomain to shopify

    Hi,
    So i have a blog on my shopify store but have decided that WordPress is better suited for everything that I need.
    However I’m having trouble setting this up.
    I currently have a domain i own, so I think I need to create a subdomain is that correct?
    I basically just want to create my blog from wordpress but have it on my shopify store. Kindly let me know how I can complete this

    Hi Saffiyyah,

    You are right to want to set up a subdomain since the domain will stay put on the Shopify store. So create the subdomain and then map it to WordPress.com via the DNS records: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-subdomain/ you can follow that guide.

    You are also going to need to purchase a plan for your blog: https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/. I think for just a blog the personal or premium will work just fine. You will then have your blog as a standalone site and you can link it back to your Shopify site as well, I’m sure there are various ways to provide the link to your blog.
